This is a beautiful Rattle made with Horse Hide, and pine wood from Mount Shasta. ( dead wood only).
Every now and then a hide will have “spirit writing” come through where there is a letter or several letters or a word. This one has a big Y on it. Very special when this happens. 
The hide comes from a no kill animal sanctuary. It was made with prayers and ceremony.
It is filled with lapis and quartz crystal beads. 
The handle is wrapped with soft deer leather.
It measures 11” long and the rattle is about 3 1/8” wide. Approx.
